Here I am headed off to my second of many mule packing trips on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico.

When I was 12 and in grade 7 in Adelaide, S.A., Australia, I quit school.  My mom asked what I was going to do.  I told her that I was going to travel around the Outback with my dad and write magazine articles.  She sent me back to school.  But the idea never left me, so finally, here I am, almost 40 years later-writing about my trips and what travel has taught me.  Thanks for joining my journey. 🙂

PS: I am Canadian and grew up in Vancouver, but my two years in Australia were very formative.

    Heyy Leslie! I am nearly done with the book (loved it!) and think i might leave it at the tiny give-one-take-one Library here in El Chaltén since here are so many people from all over the world!
    Had to think of you when i saw the bird books laying in my Hostel 🙂
    I absolutely enjoyed listening to your stories and watching in the stars the other day in the bus and hope you had a good trip to the caves!

      Thank you! I enjoyed our talk and star gazing too, it made that the best bus ride so far. The caves were amazing.
